just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not)
without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.
My Very Own Meme!
Reading a few LJ's today has made me think of things for which I am grateful. There is no set number, and this is by no means all of them. But here goes....
I am grateful for:
My family. Love 'em all to bits.
Elijah. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. He is my light.
My home, and food and clothes and stuff. And enough money to indulge myself now and then.
All my friends on the net who are so kind and loving.
Tolkien, for helping me through dark patches in the last 50 years, of which there have been a few.
That I can sit at the computer and write.
That I can see and hear and function (a bit).
That I can read books.
That I can smell the roses.
A sense of humour. That I can think for myself.
That I live in a free country, and can vote for and worship whom I like.
That I can still see the fairies at the bottom of the garden.
That there is God...and angels.
That I can have one cream cake a week.
That I can talk to people and smile.
That love is never wasted.
That I can smell the sea.
That the sun is always above the clouds.
For growing things.
For a good film when I'm feeling dim.
For music.
That I can love.
That I am still here.
That you are still here.
For love.
For Elijah. For him.
THINGS I AM NOT GRATEFUL FOR:
The feelings of not being grateful.
I have a temper. Sometimes I lose it.
I get irked, partcularly with what I judge to be stupidity.
That I think I am capable or have the right to judge that God's creatures are stupid.
For cruelty and violence.
