Can't help it - I had to post this, even if others on my flist have done so. Susan has planted her daffodils. (see the previous but one post)

They laughed, they smirked, they derided - then they stood to applaud. Go Susan! You had a dream, and made it come true. I salute you!

What a voice! And what a rendition. Perfect. PLEASE watch it - you'll find miracles do happen, even on stupid tv shows.

Wow. That made me cry! All the people in the audience, I wanted to slap 'em. Even when there are bad acts, most just laugh or get a bit snide... that one shot of that girl? She looked pissed off Well, Suzi sure showed 'em. :) That made me so happy. I love BCT, I watch it on youtube. LOVE Connie, and that breakdancing boy from last year (??).

The *one thing* that bugs me about this show is how everyone applauds like crazy two seconds into songs, and you can barely hear it at some points. They gotta do something about that. :P

I never watch the show, or anything like it, because I hate to see really nice - but untalented and vaguely deluded - people humiliated for public consumption - but that was different. This time it was the audience and panel brought low. And they deserved it.

The noise gets to me, too. I hate it. At least they should respect the performer enough to wait until they finish. :Dxxx

She is a gem. At this point 12 million have tuned in to that YouTube vid. Says a lot, I'd say. xxx

Thanks so much, I hadn't seen this before, but it was so good to see the smirks wiped off all those faces and as you say, what a voice this lady has...!!! Incredible! I hope more of her dreams come true, she deserves it :-)

I LOVED seeing that! They had dismissed her before she'd even opened her mouth, but that soon stopped, didn't it?
I hope she does a cd soon. I'll buy it! ;D xxx

Oh yes, their expressions turned from smirks of derision to jaw-dropping amazement!

Let me know if Susan does produce a cd as I would be interested in buying one, too :-)

Btw, just been to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Early days yet, but what was there was interesting especially the walk-through lemur enclosure and, of course, the meerkats, Arthur and Anne, names after a married couple who work there. Names start at the beginning of the alphabet...

While we were in the gift shop James rang to say someone had somehow got hold of his debit card details (not the actual card) and had been on a spending spree of several hundreds of pounds before Amazon queried the fact that someone had tried to access his account, change details and wouldn't give an address so had tried to open a new account.

Good thing they were on the ball. Trouble is, he uses his debit card for train fares, food, etc. and now he doesn't have one after cancelling his.
He can't do anything else until Monday as it's weekend and there's no one at the bank until then for him to speak to. He just had to ring us to vent his understandable anger and frustration :-(

Yes, I'm with Jamie, there - I'd have been damned cross, too. That's the trouble with internet shopping. Too easy to get details, these days. And replacement cards take 5-7 working days, too. Big probs if there's not a bank nearby.

Glad your day with the meercats and other furry creatures went so well! Bless em!

And, fear not - if Susie releases a cd - which I'm certain she will - I'll let you know, unless you see it first, then you can let me/i> know. :D

I saw this in another LJ and this lady just blew me away. I so hope she gets the chance to sing again for a live audience as her voice is so beautiful and that song just turns me into goo!

Cannot watch this too much. The looks on their faces when she started singing were priceless. My father in Canada told me about it as well. I suspect it's one of the most watched vids on youtube. xxoo :D
