Today I cried. I must tell you I never cry. Never. Not even Frodo at the Grey Havens made me cry. But today, I did.

I never met her in real life, but her struggle with cancer she reported on lj, and always with humour and hope. Those who have met her said she was a special lady, and I have no doubt of it.
I am putting here what I commented on her journal.
Oh, Rich! I don't often cry, but I'm crying, now. She will be sadly missed by more people than you realise, not only because she was a lovely gal, but for her fortitude and strength. People who never had a chance to know her in real life caught a glimpse of her on these pages, and loved what they found here.
I leave you a prayer. It is the oldest prayer ever found, and I adapted it a bit for my own use.
A Prayer For Immortality
Where there is Eternal Light. In the world where the sun is placed;
In that immortal, imperishable world, - place her, O God.
Where the King reigns. Where the secret place of Heaven is.
Wherefrom the mighty waters spring - make her Immortal!
Where life is free. In the Third Heaven of Heavens.
Where the Worlds are radiant - there make her Immortal!
Where wishes and desires dwell. Where the place of the Bright Being is.
Where the innocent reside - there make her Immortal!
Where Light is born. Where the Elect of Heaven reign.
Where man is God's child again, O God of Gods - make her Immortal!
Adapted from an Aryan prayer over six thousand years old. But we all know, do we not, that Lorie is Immortal already? My sincerest prayers are with you. Ruth
Sometimes, we just need to say it. I'm glad we did that book of stories for her. I will miss her, and so will many more.
