I was awake at six this morning, and when I went to the loo (TMI) I picked up one of the books I keep there, and started reading - as you do - the list of Periodic Tables. I'm in there - Ruthenium (atomic number 44) is an element! Giggles.

Then I read that there were (was it 7 or 8?) elements awaiting naming. I decided on these. May I have your thoughts on what they should be named - after which fandom, so to speak?

We'll say there are eight, ok? For evenness.

First Tolkien. Um, Tolkenuim, Frodomium, Merrybdium, Pipponium, Samwiseum, Bilbobidum, Sauronium, Gandalfium.

Elijah Jordan Wood = Elijanium, Jordanium, Woodonium.
Dominic Bernard Patrick Luke Monaghan = Dominuim Bernardium Patricium, Luconium, Monaghium.

Horbart Drizzle = (what??) Hobartium, Drizzelium.

Yeah, so I'm nuts? What's new? Any ideas, folks, for the naming of the 7? Casey? Zeke? Jensen? Whomever? Roll up, and leave your selection. There's bound to be more discovered, are there not?

PS - It was seven - I checked!

http://www.periodictable.com/ I found this, in case you're interested. If not, kindly leave the stage. :D

So what happens if you mix Frodomium and Samwiseum? Pandemonium? Lavendershaggium?

PS, I didn't know Dom had all those names. Heheee!

Bilbobidum

lol! I like that one because it can be so easily misread.

How cool that an element is named after you.

And...someone needs to give that kitty another cookie, stat!

Oh, I love Anjelmati's suggestions. I can't think of anything clever. But of course Hobart Drizzle deserves to be on the list.

Very randomly, Orlijium,...um... Orlandonium, Urbanium,... *ponders*... *damn, you has Sauronium already*...um... Gollium, Elrondium, Aragornium, and last but not least Doodlium Doodlelium. :D Why aren't they named? Are they saving them for something special? XXOO

This is hilarious! I love it that *you* are in the periodic table... ;0)

Not being a scientist I had no idea there were so many nor that there were some still unnamed!

I favour the obvious, I'm afraid - Tolkenium, Frodomium, Elijanium, Woodomium, Hobartium, Merrybdium and Pipponium.

Sorry to be so predictable!

(I think you might have missed this when I replied to you a couple of days ago.)

Ok! I'm looking at using 138 which is a deeper color of turquoise then what you see in this photo. They are some of my favorite beads that I have at the moment! Just lovely.

I can use 136 which is Chinese jade. Or 109 which is lapis and would look nice with the turquoise. Both a Egyptian stones (lapis and turquoise)

If I use the Chinese Jade, then I would add 135 as the third contrasting stones.

If I use the lapis, then I will go with 140 which is also much deeper in color. It's called red brick jasper. Looking at Egyptian art you can see that these three colors (turquoise, lapis blue & red brick) were prominent in their jewelry.

I also might throw in some Malachite which will help tie in the pendant's colors more thoroughly.

Let me know if you want the Jade or the lapis, then I'll get started.

Hope this wasn't too confusing!

Ha! Frowiseium! :D

Yes, those are Dom's names. He chose Luke as his baptismal name. He told the priest it was because he admired St Luke so much, when actually his inspiration was Luke Skywalker ! :D xxx
