I like this rich tapestry of medieval / Anglo-Saxon tale. You're painting and colouring this world for us, and you keep us in suspense about the fate of the characters you introduced us to.
And you have got a secret hidden 'behind your back' - the one involving Lighe's brother. So many plots and counter-plots, so many intrigues . . . (Personally, I think it was NOT Thrydwulf that arrived at the French king's Court - either that or Leofric has been slowly poisoning him . . . - theories, theories . . .)
Anyway, normally I don't commit to stories posted in several chapters. Normally I prefer to come to stories like this one only when they are finished.
But you got me hooked on this one, and I am holding my breath each week-end to see whether another chapter has been posted !
