Hello, dear friends! Happy Sunday, and to dear Trianne, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!Hope it is a wonderful day for you, my love. xxxx

I must tell you I am feeling a little better though I haven't as yet, left the house - except to look at the tomatoes, and my fruit trees growing in the back garden, together with ogling all the rubble everywhere left because of the bathroom I am having built! YaY! At last! Those of you who know me know how long I have waited for this shower room. :D

So here, bright and early is part 7 which dear LSR had beta'ed even though she is throng (lovely word!) because of work stuff she HAS to do. Hugs her, too. In fact - hugs everyone!!

Part 7 - Crime, Punishment and Humility

Thanks, LSR for beta.

"Has he not told you, Auqui, that the God Viracocha has revealed to him that he will never see the City of Qoylurani with his living eyes?"

Dom stared at the man, not comprehending. "Not...?" he began, then stopped. "No," he said with conviction, not willing to meet either man's eye. "No, it cannot be. He told me he knew the way...that Viracocha...that...no - I will not believe it."

Amaru cast him a condescending look. "The leaves will tell him - has the Auqui Dom Huascar ever known the leaves to lie?"

Dom shook his head. "The leaves do not lie," he said at last, his voice raw.

Amaru rose to his feet. "You cannot tell God you know of this. He told me not to speak of it and I have broken that vow. But I could not leave you ignorant of it, you had to know. For you must realise that his heart is overburdened with sorrow for his family, for his people, and for his one true love." The man's voice sounded bitter to Dom's ears and he looked up in surprise at Amaru's tone.

Dom and Will stood to leave. This was Amaru's chamber, and they had neither been invited into it, nor, Dom could plainly see, were they welcome there.

"Do you begrudge God his love for me so much?" said Dom, a challenge in his question.

The Inca lord stared at Dom as if seeing him for the first time. "Begrudge God his love for you? I would give him my heart's blood if it would please him, and he knows it! I begrudge him nothing. It is my prayer only that you are worthy of him, for the burdens of his kingship and godhood are great upon him. He knows full well that I try not to add to them - that I will do anything that he desires, even if it causes me pain."

The man took a deep breath, and he closed his eyes for a moment. "I am tired, my Lords, if you will excuse me, I need to rest - " then seeing the shocked expression on Dom's face, added with a cold smile - "oh, you need not fear to leave him here, Auqui - God shall lie unmolested in my bed. I have never yet touched a man without his knowledge and consent."

Dom turned his back and left without another word.

A servant showed them their sleeping chamber, and he and Will sat on the colourful bedding in the comfortable room, and drank coca, which calmed Dom a little.

"Dom, Dom - dinna let your hot blood get the better o' ye," Will murmured. The hide door covering offered no protection against eavesdroppers, although they spoke in English, which they knew none understood.

Dom tried to suppress the feelings of anger and distress which still wracked his body. "Where Lizhe is concerned, my friend, I am most vulnerable, as you must know."

Will clasped Dom's arm in a friendly gesture. "Aye, I do know it - but man, these are strangers to us here, and we are not what they are used to. They do not trust us. Amaru canna be blamed fer that."

Dom's eyes widened. "Why do they not trust us, Will? We came with God and we have done nothing..."

Will sighed. "Amaru was at Cuzco. There must have been priests there, ye ken? Priests who encouraged the killing of the innocent, just as Maita told us of the one in his village. Priests who uttered killing words against the divinity of their God-King. Look at me, Dom - look at yersel'! What message do you think these people get from us, eh?"

It had never once entered Dom's mind that they might be distrusted by those whom they met along the way - but as he thought more of it - of Maita and Kon - he realised that it was to Lizhe, or the other two Incas that both the boy and the man spoke - not to him or Will.

"Aye, Dom, d'ye see it now? We have tae be careful. Whilst we are here, we must tak' off these frocks and wear what they wear. Shave oursel's, we ha' sharp knives fer the task - be more like them - God's teeth, we've had enough practice at it. Call a servant and get some proper clothes fer us, will ye? You are God's mate, they'll listen tae ye."

Dom stared at Will, his black soutaine starkly emphasising the pallor of his lightly sunburned features. He was right.

Dom called, and within minutes they were both provided with skirts, tunics and cloaks and soft alpaca slippers. There was nothing they could do about their fair hair, but at least it was long and clean.

Will dressed in the new garments and untied his hair from the club in which he habitually wore it. Leaving Dom to rest, he strode out with a lightness of step that Dom envied.

Dom noticed that Will had left behind his soutaine. No doubt it would be a few days before they left for...for...Qoylurani, Dom thought, with a pang, remembering what Amaru had said. He settled upon the bedding and closed his eyes, but sleep was far from him.

...he will never see the City of Qoylurani with his living eyes, Amaru had said. What did that mean, Lizhe's living eyes? That he would die before he saw the place? That he would reach it, but blind? Both these thoughts made Dom shiver - and the thought that it was to Amaru that Lizhe had revealed this vision, and not to him, angered him still.

Amaru clearly had a place, however small it may be, in Lizhe's heart that was given to no other man, for Dom had never before seen Lizhe behave in such a way as he had that night. Dom gritted his teeth - he did not like it, he did not like it at all. It was true that Lizhe had several times over the past few years mentioned his cousin, but he had said nothing specific concerning him, and the man had never visited the Holy City, not even when Lizhe was rescued from Tupac...

It was nearly dawn before Dom slept, and he was woken abruptly some time later by a servant shaking him. "Auqui, Auqui, God requires you attend him immediately - come quickly!"

Dom tried to question the servant but all he received was the same words and in the heat of a temper exacerbated by his terror for Lizhe's life, forgot all he had learned about patience and understanding and tolerance in the last few years. With a determined nod of his head, he decided to appear before his God in the soutaine, complete with hat - the rosary tucked into his belt, Father Manuel's crucifix emblazoned like a badge of honour upon his chest.

He was conducted to the room where they had eaten the night before. Dom saw as he entered that a platform had been built at one end, and sitting on it in a hastily constructed chair covered in gold and scarlet cloth, was Lizhe...or rather the Sapa Inca, with Rimac seated upon a stool on one side of him, and Amaru upon the other.

There was no empty seat there for him. Whatever this was, he was not included. Anger roiled in his gut, churning, white-hot anger.

Will and Yupanque sat to one side and after a quick glance, Dom did not look at them again. These five men were the only occupants of the room besides himself, and his attention was centred upon the platform and its three occupants, only two of whom held his interest - Lizhe and Amaru.

Lizhe neither moved nor offered him a welcome, and the colour rose to Dom's cheeks, and then fled, leaving him pale as chalk and icy cold with wrath. He removed his hat and bowed low in the Spanish fashion.

"You sent for me, Lord?" Dom said, his voice as cold as his face.

There flashed across Lizhe's face an expression which Dom failed to interpret. "I did, Auqui. Please be seated."

Dom felt the anger rise higher. There was nowhere for him to sit except on the floor, and that he would not do.

"Thank you, my Lord, I prefer to stand," he spoke with hauteur, and offered Lizhe a slight, ironic bow. "My back is still too stiff after our long journey to admit itself to squatting upon the floor like a savage."

He did not know why he said what he did. He heard Will draw in a deep, impatient breath from his place close by him, but the Scot knew better than to speak uninvited in the presence of the God-King - for this was patently not Lizhe who sat so still before them, anger blazing in his clear blue eyes.

"Your back is stiff, indeed. It is my opinion that you need to learn how to bend it, Dom Huascar. You forget yourself. Amend your manners before your betters!"

Dom glared at Lizhe, astounded. "My betters? That great ox sitting beside you? You, I will allow, but not him. He is no better than I am, my Lord. I am a Prince three - no, four times over since you inducted me as a Ray of Inti. Who is he that you call him my better? Who is his father? His king?"

Dom had spoken rashly in his anger. He knew he should have waited until they were private together, but the white hot spark burning in his belly was fanned into a flame by Lizhe's words.

Amaru neither moved or spoke. He merely fixed Dom with a gaze, a slight smile on his lips that seemed to Dom disturbingly familiar.

Lizhe spoke again in quiet, even tones. "I am his king, Dom Huascar, as I am yours. His father was Manco Capac, brother to my father and mother. He is much beloved for services he has rendered to me ..."

Dom was not listening. He heard the word services and committed the unforgivable sin - he interrupted the Sapa Inca. "...and we may all imagine what these services may have been!"

Amaru rose abruptly to his feet at this, but did not speak. Lizhe indicated that his cousin should sit, and immediately Amaru obeyed.

Lizhe raked over Dom with his eyes. "Dom Huascar, once again you place your life in jeopardy. One day you will dig your grave with your tongue. I command you to be silent!”

The words finally broke through Dom’s anger and he controlled himself with some effort.

Lizhe had not yet finished.

“You will be punished for this outburst before God, and for the insult to beloved members of his family. It cannot be countenanced. God gives you leave. Auqui William, remove him from God's presence!"

Will rose and bowed, and grabbing Dom's arm in a vice-like grip, hurried him out of the room.

*****

Will dragged Dom from the building into the nearby wood where they would not be overheard. He pushed Dom down by a tree, for his friend’s legs were shaking so much he could scarcely stand.

"Are ye mad, ye tup-heided fool? One day - one day, ye'll gang so far, not even he will be able t'save ye. God knows what will come to ye because of this!"

The anger had drained out of Dom, leaving him, as always in such cases, weak and miserable. "I know. It is all my fault - but Lizhe should not have allowed him..."

Will stood in front of Dom, his arms folded tightly across his chest. "Allowed him to do what, Dom? Touch his precious hair? Rest his head on his shoulder? Hold his unconscious body as the leaves took him? These men were boys together, ye fool - although I see Amaru is older, but not by so many years. And we - ye and me - have done a damn sicht more than touch each other, as Lizhe well kens, and yet I see no such jealous rages in him when he sends us off together alone, on Royal visits, and yet, I ken his love is as great as yours."

Dom looked up and saw Will's face was hard and uncompromising.

"I tell ye to yer face, Dom, that if this mission fails, and we're discovered imposters, it'll be because of your madness, not Lizhe, fer he has learned quickly how t'hold himsel' together when he must. If y'want t'see him deid, carry on the road you're ganging, that's all it'll take. I'm angry wi' ye, ye loon, so I'll awa' now, before I say something I'll regret."

Dom was left alone under the tree, where he sat for a time. He had been ...immoderate... in his reactions, he realised that. He wished he had more control over his temper - really, it was not becoming in a prince... or a priest.

Then, stiff with determination, he decided to find Amaru and Lizhe and apologise to them for his behaviour. He walked towards the big house, but before he reached the doorway Amaru came out to meet him. His face was expressionless, and he bowed to Dom, and there was no sign of disrespect or anger in the man's demeanour. Dom began to speak, but was cut off by Amaru’s quiet voice.

"God has commanded me to tell you to find and strip a stick, and when it is completed, to take you to him for punishment. These are God's words."

Dom's breath hitched. Lizhe was going to thrash him with a cane. There was a tightening in Dom's groin at the prospect, for this was no punishment for them, but a rare treat, saved for such moments when the feelings of love they felt for each other threatened to overpower them.

Dom was not pleased that Amaru stood by, watching in silence as he made his choice. After all, this was a private thing between him and his lover, and not for other eyes.

He cut two sticks the thickness of his little finger and about five feet in length, stripped them quickly, and swishing both in the air, decided they were suitable. He nodded to Amaru, and followed the man into the house.

He was led to a room not unlike the one in which Amaru was housed, but it was seen that every treasure in the building had been brought here for the Sapa Inca's comfort. Little statues of the Gods and spirits adorned the room, and three carved and painted chests, one each side of the richly woven and decorated bedding which Dom thought Amaru must have brought away from Cuzco, so luxurious it was. One had been set out in the middle of the room. It was a little taller than the others and Dom wondered what it was doing there.

The room was empty of other occupants, so Dom sat unbidden on one of the lower chests, whilst Amaru leaned against the wall, and stared out of the window. Neither man spoke, for Dom did not think this was the proper time for an apology to Amaru. After he had spoken first to Lizhe - begged pardon for his hasty words - then he would do it. He just wished the man would leave, and there would be just him and Lizhe - and the canes...

Lizhe came quickly into the room, and Amaru went immediately down on one knee. Dom did not move - he was not used to kneeling before Lizhe, except when they were alone and his hands were bound.

Lizhe bent his searing gaze upon Dom, and Dom knew he had made another serious error of judgement, for this was still not his Lizhe, as it had not been his Lizhe earlier, but God-on-Earth, and once again, he had displeased him. Dom knew full well that Lizhe never brought his rank into their bed, and wondered what was about to happen that he had maintained this posture. He knelt.

Outside the door Dom could hear faint murmurs as if there were people gathered in the corridors, and he dared to glance up at Lizhe who gave both men a cool, measured look.

"Remove your clothing, Auqui," Lizhe said in an even voice, as he chose one of the two canes leaning against the wall.

Dom stared at him. What? He did not move.

"Did you not hear me? Do you wish me to send for servants to strip you?"

Dom's heart was beating like a drum - this could not be - not before a witness. Lizhe was going to beat him before this...this...? He removed his clothing; all signs of the anticipation and excitement he had been feeling at the encounter had totally vanished.

"I will not bind you, I trust you not to move, Dom Huascar. You may lean over the taller chest."

Dom did so, and spread his legs so that he would not fall. He hoped neither man noticed that his legs were trembling.

Then Lizhe's voice spoke clearly into the noon-day warmth. "Dom Huascar, you have committed a crime, the punishment for which, in a person of a lower order, would be death. As my consort, you can be judged only by me, and punished only by your peers. Those gathered outside this doorway will be witnesses that the punishment had been given. No-one may insult God, or his family, and remain untouched by God’s anger. The Auqui Amaru will administer the punishment, because it was upon him your insults fell." Lizhe handed the cane to his cousin, who bowed low as he took it.

Amaru - not Lizhe? Sangre de Dios, what an indignity! Dom thought, biting his lower lip and hoping that neither man could see his shame.

"Lord Amaru, do not strike his back, only the buttocks and the top of the thigh. You will stop when I deem there has been enough. You will not spill his blood, for has he not proudly informed us that it is royal blood - four times over? You may begin."

After the first stroke, Dom knew one thing for certain, Amaru had a heavy hand. After eight strokes he had bitten the inside of his lip so that it bled. He would not cry out or scream - he would not.

Lizhe hit hard, but not like this, to wound. His strokes were given in love. Dom pondered, as the cane fell again, how different this would be if Lizhe...then the cane bit, and again, and all thought gave way to pain...

After fifteen strokes, Lizhe called "Stop!" and Dom gulped a huge breath of air and tried to stand. His legs struggled to obey him.

"Stay where you are, Dom Huascar. Lord Amaru, you will leave us for a moment!"

Dom rested his head on his arms, and felt the pain in his backside and legs run in arpeggios up and down his spine. Then Lizhe knelt in front of him, and took Dom's nerveless hands in his. Dom gazed up at him, trying to blink the sweat from his eyes.

"Dom, you fool! Do you not see? There are witnesses gathered outside to hear the punishment. They cannot see it, for there are none of rank but Rimac, and he has declined the invitation to attend. So you have to give them the evidence of their ears. I do not wish you too much hurt, but you must - must cry out, for he will beat you until you do. Do you not remember?"

Dom remembered only too well one of Lizhe's minor courtiers being whipped for a serious infraction. The man pleaded for mercy, and the witnesses were satisfied. Dom was damned if he was going to plead for anything from Amaru, but he nodded, nonetheless.

"There will be ten more, Dom, and please - if you have any love for me - scream!"

"I love you, Lizhe - but you know this. I am sorry - I...was jealous..." The words were accompanied by gasps but Dom was glad he could say them.

"We will talk, soon." Lizhe moved away, and called Amaru back. The blows seemed even harder, as if the man had gained his second wind, and at the next stroke, Dom cried out. He kept screaming until Lizhe stopped it at the twenty third blow. "You will draw blood, Auqui. I cannot allow it." Lizhe had said in a quiet tone

Dom had not been told to move, so he lay there, every nerve on fire, as Lizhe called someone in - probably one of the village healers - for the man pronounced, in the quavering voice of the very old, that it had been a good punishment and no lasting damage had been done.

Then there was a shuffling noise of feet outside, then silence.

To Dom's surprise it was Amaru who carefully picked him up and laid him on his side on the bedding. "You did well, Auqui," he said as he left them alone, and Dom heard no irony in his tone as previously there had been.

Lizhe came to kneel beside him. "Drink this, mi alma" he said, offering a cup to Dom's lips, and Dom drank deep. It comforted him to hear Lizhe say that he was still "his soul", but he could not answer him.

It was not a taste he knew, but soon a pleasant stupor came over him, and despite the pain, he slept.

*****

He had slept for many hours for the sun was setting and the shadows lengthened against the wall. Dom rose very unsteadily, for his hurts still stung, and there were welts thicker than his thumb on the back of his legs.

There was a pot in the corner, and as he made use of it he remembered with fondness the gold and silver piss-pots the silversmith in the Holy City had made for Lizhe and himself, and felt a deep sorrow that they would never see the place again, for it had become his home.

As he returned to the bed, he wondered where Lizhe was - but this time his thoughts were not filled with jealous rage - that had been beaten out of him.

Lizhe would speak of it when he was ready, and that was enough for Dom, weakened as he was, and as he lay gingerly down again upon the soft bedding, he thought sadly that if he had reined in his temper instead of allowing it to run wild, he would not now be in this sad condition.

He also remembered Will's angry face. Will was right - if Lizhe was to remain alive and free, Dom had to control his emotions far better than he had that day.

He slept again, and woke just as Lizhe entered the room, followed by a servant. The girl quickly deposited the tray she carried, on the floor beside Dom, and hurried out backwards, crouching low.

Dom said nothing, nor did he move to eat the food. First he needed to know Lizhe's thoughts. He looked up into his eyes, begging for a few words from his love, hoping against hope his folly had not destroyed all there was between them.

He noticed that Lizhe carried a stone jar and a cloth, and he sighed wistfully. "Do you mean to anoint my hurts, Lizhe, seeing that it was through you I received them?"

Lizhe shook his head and sat down beside Dom, and stared at the wall. "It was not I that caused your hurts, Dom - it was yourself, and this you know full well, for I have never laid the cane on you except at your express wish, nor struck you, save once, in anger."

Lizhe put down the jar and cloth, then laid down and turned his face to Dom's. "The laws are immutable, my love - you know this - and are made and enforced for all men. If only you had waited and spoken privately of your feelings to me - if I had not been angered by your behaviour towards Amaru, and not sent for you when he was by - I would not have ordered punishment. But Amaru was there, so the punishment had to be meted out."

"There are not separate laws for those of royal blood and another for the common people. You know it is death to speak disrespectfully of me. It could not be allowed to pass before witnesses, Dom, even from you. Anarchy would be the result. My rule is absolute for a reason - this is why we have peace in the Land. And well you know that by insulting Amaru, you do insult me, for he is my near kinsman, and much beloved..."

Here his voice broke, and Dom, fearing he had gone too far once again, touched Lizhe's face, lying so close to his.

"Who is he that you love him so well? For he has not been granted a place in the Holy City, at your side, nor has he seen your face since I...since we... have been together."

Lizhe pressed his forehead against Dom's. "He protected me when I was younger. There were other cousins who wanted the throne and Godhood after Pachacutec died. They thought I was too young - too inexperienced to rule. It was Amaru and the Villac-Uma who saw to it that it was to me God spoke, and to me God granted the rule of the Tiwatinsuya. It was they who first gave me the leaves..."

He paused, breathing deeply, then continued. "Amaru's brother was one of the men very anxious to usurp my place, but when he saw that God had spoken to me, and had chosen me before all men, he accepted God's word, and took me as his King. However, he had a temper that was not easily controlled..."

...here Lizhe glanced at Dom, who had the grace to blush..."and I was only a lad. He was a very handsome man, and I was not immune to his considerable charms. Soon he was in my bed. I ...I...was not sure I wanted him at first...he was inclined to a violence in bed, I had heard, which had nothing to do with love. He liked to hurt for hurt's sake - but, of course, he could not physically hurt me - I was God, but he liked to hurt me, nevertheless."

"He would boast of his earlier conquests, and how this woman had done things to him that I could not do, and that man...I did not realise this at the time, of course, it all came to me later. We can all be wise in hindsight. He found ways of making me... unhappy; it gave him much pleasure to do so."

"Then, one day after he had left me almost in tears, I overheard Amaru telling him that if he did hurt me again, in any way, he - Amaru - would kill him without a second thought. That made his brother raise his hand against him, and I sent Amaru to Cuzco where he would not be in danger, for his brother had several loyal followers in the Holy City who were devoted to his interests. And I was more a fool; instead of having him killed, I let his brother live, for I thought I loved him."

Lizhe sighed. "You must remember that I was young - not yet eighteen - and proud, and hot at hand. I was flattered that he wanted me, when there were so many men and women who desired him - so I made an error in judgement I have lived to regret. I made him Ray of Inti."

Lizhe touched Dom's cheek again. "Yes, I am a fool - you are not alone in this. Nor are you wrong in your suppositions, for I see in your face that you have guessed it at last."

"It is true - Amaru's brother was the traitor Tupac."

Thanks for updating, dear! Hope you feel up to your old self, soon!:)

It was a great chapter, very well written and I loved the tension very much, even though I have to say that if I were Dom, I couldn't live in a relationship where everytime, I say something, I have to be afraid of being punished or even being killed. Of course, Lizhe is king and god and of course, Dom should be careful with what he says in public, seeing how it is a crime to speak bad about god, but I would have wished that Lizhe wouldn't have had him punished. I could only too well understand Dom's jealousy and the fact that Amaru is Tupac's brother(even if they didn't get along) doesn't improve things for me...

I am happy though, to see that things between Lizhe and Dom haven't cooled off, after the rather cold beginning of the chapter...

I love Dom and his temper-typical Spaniard and no matter how often he will be punished for his big mouth, I am sure that he will never get rid of his temper, and it only shows how much he loves Lizhe, he only gets like this when he's jealous;)Poor Dom, I hope that Lizhe will take proper care of him now:)

Great work and I absolutely love this story, it gets better and more interesting with each chapter!

*hugs*

I'm so happy to hear that you're feeling better, my dear! And that's wonderful news about the new bathroom. I know you've been wanting the new bath for ages. I hope the workers don't disrupt the household too much before they're finished.

Oh, Dom is so hotheaded! Will and Lizhe try to give him their wisdom and each time his temper gets the better of him. And Amaru is Tupac's brother! how different they are from one another.

I'm very glad to hear you're feeling a little better. I'm most impressed that you were able to get the chapter done and posted today, though I'm very happy about it too. Poor Dom, that temper will get him killed someday, if it doesn't get Lizhe killed first. Terrible punishment, even though it could have been worse. So, Tupac was Amaru's brother. Hmmm. You really make me want to know what's going to happen next. It's an absorbing story, so well written.

oh my...Dom of course made me very angry. He needs to look at the scars left on his chest maybe to know he is still the special one.. but then, Lizhe has not helped in this since they got there and he met up with Amaru. It certainly didn't help with Amaru sitting beside Lizhe and nowhere for Dom to sit. That didn't make sense at all to me. I knew this was coming, that Amaru was Tupac's brother...knew it. But I don't feel good about Amaru. Someone betrayed the Sapa Inca to the Spaniards. Also...I am wondering about how Amaru really felt being sent to Cuzco instead of being the one to be allowed to remain while Tupac stayed with Lizhe (and became Ray of Inti).
Please..please please please don't let Lizhe be swayed to make Amaru a Ray also...that would behorrible because he then would have to lay with him.
If you do this prewarn me please...I won't be able to read it.

This is such a great story...although, my Sundays are becoming very sad and frustrated lately. xoxoxo v
ps...I am glad you are getting better. Keep resting that lovely self of yours. many hugs

Glad to hear you are feeling a little better - sure hope that trend continues!! And the new bathroom sounds wonderful - hope the workers finish really quickly with a minimum of disruption. *hugs*

Wonderful chapter - Dom's anger is going to be the death of them if he can't get it under control. Sure wish Dom could let his love and trust of Lizhe come to the front and not his jealousy - Lizhe always has an explanation for his actions and stretches leniency for Dom as far as he can when Dom lets his jealousy and anger show in public. Loved when he stopped the punishment and begged Dom to cry out and explained why.

I certainly understand Lizhe's connection to Amaru - but I'm not sure I trust him yet. Hope Lizhe isn't being deceived by his feelings again - like he was with Tupac. So much responsiblity on such young shoulders.

I'll say it again - this just gets better and better!!

I haven't read this yet, but wanted to say how much I admire you for keeping this up with all you've been through of late. I do hope you continue to make progress, and quickly.

Also, thanks to Ladysunrope! What a lovely thing for her to do in spite of being so busy herself.

*hugs you both*

Oh dear, we could see this coming... Dom and that hot temper of his! His pride and jealousy getting the better of him and landing him in very hot water!

It must have been as painful for Lizhe in a different way to watch his lover being punished thus, but it had to be done as Dom must now realise. He didn't give Lizhe the opportunity to explain his relationship with Amaru, but then as the Sapa Inca it should have been accepted without question. Dom's not like that, however, as we know. He's still learning.

Great chapter and brilliantly written as always with that little bombshell dropped at the end ;D

Well done and thanks to you, my love, for posting when you weren't feeling that well. Glad to hear you are a little better and that progress is being made with your long-awaited shower room :)

YIKES!!!

*shakes Dom*

Imma thinking Dom is going to be without his tongue if he does not learn to hold it. Will might ought to be looking into fashioning a muzzle for his friend.

"It is true - Amaru's brother was the traitor Tupac."

Oh yes, I thought so as I read the description of him. *sigh* Poor Lizhe! Poor Dom! Dom, Dom, Dom he just can't control his temper, but OH that whipping was awful.

You DID have Tupac dead before, right? Cause if that guy comes back somehow...

*cringes*

Another good chapter.

*hopes Dom and Lizhe have make-up sex soon*

: )

You know Issi, every Monday I go to work and come home feeling so stressed and worried, but so often there is a lovely new chapter of yours to catch up on and it really lifts me up! This chapter was no exception. How I adore reading of Dom and Lizhe. Their love, despite all the ups and downs, burns ever-bright. Bless you sweetie and I'm so glad you are getting a new bathroom. *hugs*

You know what I love most of your Dom? that he's a hot spaniard. You managed to make him like that and I feel so very related to him.

He acts just like I would in his shoes, you know? I KNOW he's making a hard mistake, just like he is, but I also know I would have open my mouth and say all that stuff just like he does --earn myself a punishment, possibly even dead, and take it like he does.

And I also feel related to him becuase as good hot-spaniard I also understand that the punishment must be made and I'm sorry. Terribly, utterly, really sorry --not for having made a mistake or for fear to the punishment, no. But for forcing people to punish me and be angry at me for being so hot on my comments *blushes*

I completely understand Dom here and your Lizhe is still so nice to him.

But I still think it's all Amaru's fault. I don't like him. Nope.

Thank you! And really, Dom should know better - he lived in Spain when the Inquisition was breathing heavily down everyone's neck! ;D

Lij will take care of him - fear not! Hugs. xxx

I must own that I had written this part before I went into hospital - and I have just finished part 8 which I'll send to LSR tonight. :D

I hope you'll like the rest of the story too, my love. xxx

Well, I can't tell you what may happen in the future just yet as it'll spoil the story. Also, I haven't a clue what may turn up next, so who knows? But I can promise that Amaru will not be made a Ray, whatever else may happen - if that helps! :d xxx

Dom can be a real idiot, can't he? As saura says - so typically Spanish. That's a real compliment from a Spaniard. :D xxx

Tupac's throat was well and truly cut by our resident executioner, Rimac. That I promise. AND (although I didn't say so in Inca 1) he burned the body just to be on the safe side. Go Rimmie!!! :D

There is sex in part 8 - not MUCH sex, but hot (in more ways than one!) :D xxx

Very good read.
