Yeah, well, this is how I feel! :D


Well, today I fully intended to join salwood, bellewood, Hil and whomeverelse, at Cardiff to see TOM. Who knows, it might have grown on me? - but it was not to be.

Firstly the taxi to the train station didn't turn up, and when one stopped outside the house I thought it was mine, and got in.
There was a young lady sitting in the back, and I thought "oh! He's brought his daughter along for the ride!"
But, no - he was dropping off a customer - anyway, after he'd heard my tale of woe, he said he'd take me cos I'd miss the train if I waited any longer.

Got there by the skin of my teeth. Walked the whole length of the bloody platform to get to First Class (More leg room) and sat, in a crumpled, heaving, breathless heap, with two minutes to go until lift off.

Sat there, saw the half hour come and go. Then an announcement. The signals had failed. No trains in or out of Swansea until it was sorted. Rang salwood to tell her the bad news. Said I'd ring again when the train set off, cos she was the one kindly collecting me at Cardiff.

Fifteen minutes later, rang her again to say "tell everyone I'm sorry I couldn't make it" cos the train was still in the station. I went and got my fare refunded and came home in an even more crumpled heap.

So I sat in my lickel home, on my wild lonesome, and watched Cadfael instead. Ah, me!

Never mind. As I said - it was not to be. :D

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this, Ru. Darnit, if my ace navigator, Tweedle_, was around and available, we'd drive over and take you to see it ourselves. Thing is, I'd never be able to navigate my way from the M4 to yours without someone to tell me where to turn left or right - I would get totally lost.

Wish I could help. Perhaps OM will be on for a few weeks more and we'll be able to sort something out. Despaireth ye not!

I enjoyed it even more this time.. could appreciate the humour better. I got the feeling that Alex didn't intend it to be taken too seriously and enjoyed it for what it was.. And of course Elijah is always delicious to look at isn't he :)

I'm gutted you couldn't make it... The railway service has a lot to answer for, and of course you do realise they do a lot of their maintenance over bank holiday weekends, apparently less people use the train during this time! 0_0

I enjoyed the movie even more second time, probably because I knew what was coming... and Elijah has the most gorgeous profile! *gah!*

I'm not here next weekend so a meet then would be impossible. Fingers crossed for a showing at Chapter!
